Trek Details

The trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) is one of the most amazing trekking experiences in Nepal, towards the tallest mountains in the world like Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Cho Oyu (8,188 m), Makalu (8,485 m), or even Nuptse (7,861 m).

Come and discover the Khumbu Valley, land of Mount Everest and native place of the Sherpas. After landing in Lukla, it will take you two days to reach Namche Bazaar, capital of the Sherpa country for an acclimatization day. Then, following your path, the highest mountains start to rise up in front of you. You reach Tyangboche monastery located under the buttresses of Ama Dablam (6,812 m), then Pangboche and Dingboche villages. Gorakshep is the last camp before Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Kala Patthar (5,545 m), where you can contemplate the most spectacular scene and viewpoint, with the Mount Everest, surrounded by other giants like Nuptse (7,861 m), Pumori (7,161 m) and Lhotse (8,516m). This trek is a complete itinerary with spectacular and varied landscapes. It is also a great opportunity to meet and discover the Sherpa people and culture.

Possible option: the trail takes you to the Gokyo lakes, from where you can climb Gokyo Peak (5,360 m), then reach Everest Base Camp after crossing Cho La pass (5,420 m).

Trek level : challenging 3/4
It is good to have previous experience of hiking and/or trekking but a beginner in good condition can do it. You must be able to hike 6 to 8 hours and climb at least 1,000 m (3,300 ft) per day, for several days in a row.
